Recently four of our diesel engineers took part in THE PLOD.

This was a 40 mile night hike around Rutland Water in aid of Action Medical Research.
This was a fantastic achievement for all who took part. The distance and terrain were taxing to say the least, and many of the teams did not even finish. The weather was terrible and for many, reaching the 20 mile check point was enough, injuries and pure exhaustion got the better of many. A big thank you to the paramedics who were there to help, and the support drivers from the teams who played a vital role throughout.

Our guys did the best they could but for a few 25 miles was most they could manage, but one of our guys Leigh, soldiered on by himself, through his pure determination he was the first to finish!! In a record time of 12 hours 34 minutes! Well done to Leigh ,who literally ran the last 20 miles!!

Well done to all of our guys who took part , this was a really difficult course. We have managed to raise a total of £1000 for the charity. A big thanks to everyone who has sponsored our team and everyone who has made a donation to this amazing charity. You may still make a donation by visiting our page here.

Thank you.
